The Department of Mathematics and Applied Sciences typically focuses on providing foundational knowledge in sciences that are crucial for engineering disciplines. The department usually covers fundamental subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Life skill & Professional Communication and Professional ethics which are essential for all engineering branches. Students get hands-on experience through well-equipped Physics and Chemistry laboratories where they can conduct experiments and understand practical applications of theoretical concepts. Chemistry Laboratory
- The chemistry lab in RIET is designed to give students practical exposure to chemical principles and their applications in engineering.
- Digital photo colorimeter, pH meter and Conductivity meter are provided in the lab that enables the students to have a hands on training on various topics they study in “Engineering Chemistry”
Physics Laboratory- Physics lab in RIET offer hands-on experiences to help students understand the principles of physics and their applications in engineering.
- The lab is equipped with Spectrometer, Laser, CRO, Melde’s string as per the first year curriculum provided by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University
